Simone Biles

Simone Biles, a gymnast American, was awarded her 20th medal at the world championships. Team USA won their seventh world title in a row at Antwerp Belgium's World Championship on October 4. With 33 medals, she is among the top-ranked women in gymnastics history. That includes the Olympics. Biles was able to perform a difficult vault three days prior to the event the Olympics, which was the first time a woman previously attempted in a stage of competition internationally. This skill was initially referred to by the Yurchenko Double Pike Vault has become known as the Biles II. This record-breaking gymnast is taking part in her first international competition from 2021 is competing in the one-on-one all-around final in the 6th of October. In 1997, in Columbus Ohio Simone was taken away from the home of her mother's birth father who was struggling with addiction. She was placed into foster care alongside her three siblings. Their maternal grandfather Air Force veteran Ron and his wife who retired as a nurse Nellie took over the charge of the children, official adopting Simone at 6 years old along with her baby sister Adria. Simone and her older siblings were taken in by their great aunt.
